Description

This image shows the north side of the Trading Post building after its store function was moved across the street to the vacated first warehouse in 1940. The attached sign indicates that the building had become the Recreation Center (referred to as the "Rec. Hall") and housed a fountain lunch counter and barbershop in addition to some small offices and space for dances, card parties and other small social gatherings. A 1940's era pickup truck is parked in front.
