Description

The concrete block basement of the new Palmer Drug store is seen as complete in foreground with the brick chimney in place. Floor joists are in place ready for construction of the wood frame building on top. A temporary tool shed stands at extreme right near the end of the basement and a portable cement mixer is partially visible between the shed and basement. The north end of Koslosky's store containing the Matanuska Valley Bank is visible across the street at left and the Valley Hotel is across the street in center middle ground. Two cars are parked in front of the bank and a pickup truck is parked in front of the hotel. A Quonset Hut is partially visible to the right of the hotel. Scattered lumber and trash lie visible in near foreground.
