Description

This color image shows a group of teen-aged boys, identified as members of Boy Scout Troup #654, and their adult leader, identified as Harry Wimmer, standing and seated on the rocky apex of Beyer's Peak in the Chugach Mountains east of Palmer, Alaska. Having reached the top of the mountain on their overnight hike, the group proudly displays a white flag with their troop number printed on it in red. At lower left a small portion of the valley and part of the Talkeetna Mountains are visible far below in background. In this photo each person is associated with a number that corresponds with identifying names listed at upper left.
