The sloping side wall of the pit is visible close behind the truck and the vertical back wall is partially visible in middle ground running out of the image to the right. The top of the pit back wall forms the skyline showing a utility pole and a man standing in silhouette. Three other men are visible--two nearby beyond the truck, one behind the truck and the driver in the truck.
